In the first quarter of 2024, the top 5 news and magazines applications on Android in Lebanon showed varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

The Economist - News, Podcasts saw a fluctuating pattern in weekly revenue, peaking at $63 in mid-January before dipping and then rising again towards the end of March at $24. Weekly downloads for the app increased significantly, reaching a high of 46K in mid-March. Active users also showed variability, starting at 380 and peaking at 358 in mid-March before settling at 291 by the end of the quarter.

Bloomberg: Finance Market News experienced a notable spike in revenue in late February at $86, followed by another peak of $45 in mid-March. Downloads were highest at the beginning of January with 160K and saw a general downward trend, ending the quarter with 22K. Active users started strong at 995, then gradually declined to 577 by the end of March.

Medium had consistent weekly revenue, hovering around $6 to $17, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter. Downloads remained steady, with a peak of 144K in late January and a slight dip to 96K by the end of March.
